Adapt\u00e9 une premi\u00e8re fois en 1967 par <em>Luchino Visconti<\/em>, cette nouvelle version distribu\u00e9e par <strong>Gaumont<\/strong> faisait partie des trois films fran\u00e7ais \u00e0 \u00eatre s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 <strong>en comp\u00e9tition officielle pour le Lion d&rsquo;or \u00e0 la Mostra de Venise<\/strong> et a \u00e9t\u00e9 projet\u00e9 en avant-premi\u00e8re mondiale pour l&rsquo;occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plut\u00f4t bien accueilli par la critique, le film est sorti en salles le 29 octobre 2025, puis est paru en DVD et en Blu-ray ce 11 mars 2026. Une nouvelle qui en attristerait plus d&rsquo;un, mais le jeune homme semble insensible au d\u00e9part de sa g\u00e9nitrice, et ce ce m\u00eame lors de ses obs\u00e8ques qui ne semblent \u00eatre pour lui qu&rsquo;une simple formalit\u00e9. Ayant rapidement repris le cours de sa vie et entretient une liaison avec Marie (Rebecca Marder), l&rsquo;une de ses coll\u00e8gues de bureau et semble filer le parfait amour. Ce qui fascine d\u00e8s les premi\u00e8res minutes, c&rsquo;est la mise en sc\u00e8ne et cette photographie en noir et blanc et est tout simplement sublime. Un parti prix audacieux, mais qui permet \u00e9galement de recontextualiser l&rsquo;\u00e9poque \u00e0 laquelle se d\u00e9roule le r\u00e9cit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On retiendra \u00e9galement la performance de Benjamin Voisin pour le r\u00f4le Meursault, un v\u00e9ritable mannequin sans \u00e2me dont le manque d&rsquo;\u00e9motion et ce m\u00eame lors de son proc\u00e8s. Ferm\u00e9 au monde ext\u00e9rieur, il observe et juge ses contemporains de mani\u00e8re gla\u00e7ante. Mais ce silence emp\u00eache par moments de plonger pleinement dans le film. Une voix-off afin de partager sa vision du monde et son ressenti avec le spectateur aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 une excellente id\u00e9e\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 ses quelques d\u00e9fauts, L&rsquo;\u00e9tranger reste une adaptation fid\u00e8le \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u0153uvre originale, mais l&rsquo;absence de quelques prises de risques divisera les fans de Fran\u00e7ois Ozon qui nous propose un long-m\u00e9trage de bonne facture, mais qui ne s&rsquo;inscrira pas dans la lign\u00e9e de ses meilleures productions\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"
